Who needs an Austrian motorway vignette, what ASFINAG is, and which mistakes travellers make.
Austria uses a time-based vignette on most motorways and expressways. Austria’s official toll operator is ASFINAG. VignettePortal does not represent or partner with ASFINAG; the name is mentioned only for factual orientation.
Who typically needs one
Light vehicles up to 3.5 t generally need a vignette on the marked network. Heavier vehicles often use a separate GO-Box system.
