Digital vignette vs physical sticker

Physical windscreen stickers were once standard. Most systems now use digital plate registration, which is easier to check automatically and does not depend on the glass.

• No sticker to scrape off
• Camera-friendly enforcement
• Plate-linked validity that survives a windscreen change

Exceptions

Some countries historically offered sticker and digital options in parallel (for example Switzerland). Always check the current national rule set before travel.
